The Echo Reaver is a post-Plantera rare magic weapon obtained as a 2% (1 in 50) drop from Elementals during the Magickin Event.
Using the weapon causes it to blast a cone of dark sound that knocks enemies back further depending on how close they are to the user, all afflicted units have their health drained over 3 waves of sound, each wave dealing damage.
